Gates & Fencing in Accrington —
Made to Fit the Stone Terraces
Accrington's full of stone terraces with tight entries and character — and off-the-shelf gates don't fit tight entries. We build on-site, to the millimetre, so your gate swings clean and your fencing follows the line. From the town centre out to Baxenden and Huncoat.
Stone Terraces Need Gates Built to the Millimetre
Accrington's terraced streets are proper character — but they come with narrow entries, wonky openings, and limited swing room. A gate off a shelf won't fit. The posts might be stone, the walls might not be square, and the gap might be 813mm not 900mm.
That's why we build on-site. We measure the actual opening, cut the gate to fit, and hang it so it swings clear of whatever's in the way. Stone posts, narrow entries, odd angles — we've seen it all across Accrington and we build for it.
Gates cut to exact width — no gaps, no catching on stone
Hung to swing inward or outward, depending on your space
Closeboard that fixes to existing stone posts
Gates matched to your existing fencing — same style, same timber

Accrington Questions
What Accrington Customers Ask
Can you fit a gate in a narrow Accrington terrace entry?
That's our bread and butter. Accrington's full of tight stone entries with limited swing room. We measure on-site, build the gate to the exact width, and can hang it to swing inward or outward depending on what space you've got. Catalogue gates come in set sizes — yours won't be one of them.
What fencing suits Accrington's stone-built gardens?
Closeboard looks right against stone and handles the exposed terraces well. If you've got stone posts already, we can fix closeboard to them. For newer estates out at Baxenden or Huncoat, concrete posts with tongue and groove panels give you a clean, solid look that lasts.
Do you match gates to existing fencing in Accrington?
We do. If you've got fencing up already and want a gate that blends in, bring us a photo or we'll match it when we come out. Same timber, same style, same finish — so it looks like it was always there.
